Do any of these sound like you?

I really want to try 3D printing but I have heard so much conflicting information on how hard it is, best way to get started or how unhealthy it.

I do not want to spend ages fiddling with a printer. I just want to hit print, get some cool miniatures and get playing or painting.

I hate my resin 3D printer and I am about to throw it out the window. I have watched hours of YouTube and read through a ton of reddit posts.

My prints fail constantly and I have tried all the tips and fixes out there!

I am not really sure if resin 3D printing miniatures is for me. I am nervous about the fumes and toxicity, and I am unsure if my space would be good enough for printing.

I have no idea what printer or supplies to get, and I am scared to buy all the wrong stuff.

Now instead imagine if…

At it’s core resin 3D printing is the joy of creation. Thinking of something and in short time have it be part of the physical world is amazing.

You should seriously try it!

You knew the perfect printing process to use for your space constraints

A lot of beginner’s have to trail and error themselves into a good process. You do not have to. You can skip all the fails and and get straight to printing cool miniatures

You had an easy step by step process to help you out

I wasted a ton of money and hours upon hours iterating my printing process over and over again.

You can rest easy knowing that I tried all the bad advice so you do not have to.

You knew exactly what printer, resin and supplies to get

Picking a resin printer and supplies can seem a bit duanting. What is best to get will change drasticly on your use case and the space you have.

In the course you will learn exactly what to get, depending on your wants and needs.

You know how to save money getting your printer and supplies

A lot of beginner’s break their printing screen. A lot of beginner’s test out various resins before they are happy.

A lot of beginner’s waste a ton of money.

You do not have to.

With my resin 3D printing beginner’s course “Print CRISP Miniatures” this is all possible.

I have created a system and framework that makes printing miniatures easy, fun and safe.

Stop failing and start printing!

Hey! I’m Peter

But who am I?

  1. First off I am miniature hobbyist. This is my perspective on everything about 3D printing. If things are not usable for my games or for painting, I have no interest.

  2. Secondly I am a content creator. I have spent 5 years now creating written content, helping people get started in various miniature games. I love it!

  3. Third: I love teaching and learning. I spend 6 years of my life studying philosophy and then another 8 years working at the university making educations and teaching better!

What you will find in this course is my synthesis of the best information out there about printing miniatures.

I cannot get enough of miniatures. Back in 2020 I jumped hard on the resin printing band wagon and have not looked back.

When I first started 3D printing miniatures I found it extremely frustrating. The space was in it’s infancy and information was sparse. When it works, resin 3D printing is easy. When it does not work it is the worst!

I have helped a lot of people get started with their miniature printing journey. And while there is a ton of good information out there these days, there is also a lot of bad stuff. People get confused and get misleading answers all the time.

I thought this could be done better. I decided to make it my mission to make 3D printing miniatures more enjoyable and accesible for everyone.

There is no reason 3D printing should become a new hobby for you. You likely have too many hobbies already!

3D printing should be something you do to supplement your hobby with cool stuff. Not something you spend ages on just to get a semi-decent result.

I am not an engineer. I am not a tinkerer. I am not a 3D printing hobbyist.

I am just here to get amazing prints. This means I am constantly looking for shortcuts and ways to get the end product better.

How does the course work?

As soon as you purchase you will get access to the self-paced video course that in roughly 4 hours of video will teach you from beginning to end how to 3D print miniatures. You will have lifetime acess to the course and any updates and additions made to it. The workflow you learn represents my own process after years of fine tuning. If I change my method I will update this course.

I have tried my very best to make each video short and consise, but there sometimes it is hard because I have so much I want to teach you.

I have also done my best to make the course action oriented, meaning that each thing you learn you need to learn because you are going to use it for something.

So I try to avoid having long theoretical lessons. If something is in a video, it is because it think it is important to either understand the workflow or know how to fix the printer when something goes wrong.

But what exactly is in the course?

  • 20 videos teaching you exactly how to print miniatures

  • 6 ready to print miniature files from various model STL creators (and many more to come)

  • The “Big Resin Printer Table”, helping you compare resin printers

  • A section on the course platform where you can ask questions and get help

  • Any future additions to course (more lessons and more printable models and tools)

  • No subscriptions. Just lifetime acess.

Why is the course called “Printing CRISP Miniatures”?

It is a bit of a joke really. Business people really like to name their framework or method something catchy so people remember it. Then they find words that kinda fit for that acronym. So did the same thing.

The CRISP Process is the framework I built this course and my teaching around. You can think of these keywords as my guides when creating this course:

  • Consistent (great results all the time)

  • Razor-Sharp (the best results you can get with your setup)

  • Improving (always looking to make things better)

  • Safe (as safe as you can get with your setup)

  • Painless (minimize fails and make minis that are sturdy for gaming)

What it looks like when you have finished this course

By the end of this course you will be able to hit print on your resin printer, walk away and come back later to some crisp looking miniatures. You will know your printer and resin is printing to the max potential it can. You will know that the printer is dailed in perfectly, so print fails will be something you slowly forget even exist.

You will have the most efficient and safest cleaning method you can have in your setup and with the space you have available. You will know the ins and out of your settings on your printer and when to tune them and why.

When fails happens you will have the skill to quickly figure out what went wrong, how to safe the printer from failing more and getting onwards with what you want: printing minis.

A joke I have heard:

You get a resin printer to print miniatures, but what you actually end up getting is a new hobby. That hobby is fixing the printer and getting the damn thing to work. Some like that and want that. Others don’t, and this course is for those people.

This course is for people want to print miniatures, but want it to be easy and fun. This is not designed for someone who wants to tinker with their printer to get it to work. This should be plug and play – and it can be.

Why could I not just get this information from some YouTube videos?

You might think “Isn’t all this just basic beginner stuff? I can watch some YouTube and get everything I need.”

Well, yes, but also no. While there is a ton of good information out there, you would have to sift through a ton of it to find exactly what you need. And sometimes you think you got all the answers, but then you are missing that key piece of information. Or what you get is conflicting and confusing.

So yeah, all of the information in this course is out there.

The problem is not getting the information. Information is everywhere! The problem is getting the right information at the right time.

This course is exactly what you need to know at exactly the right time. This course is my synthesis of all the information. It is my take on what I think is the best order to learn it in, what is most important and what methods to use.

Imagine you wanted to buy a closet. You could buy it and get it delivered ready to go, you could do a complete DIY or get some Ikea stuff.

Know imagine that you bought and Ikea closet. It arrives in multiple parts with 7 different manuals written with 7 different logics and frameworks on how to assemble the closet. There are too many parts in the box with the closet and some manuals says to do it this way, others to do it that way. If you follow some of the manuals you will end up breaking the closet and being unable to assemble it.

At times, that is how it felt for me starting in resin printing.

Sometimes, it’s better to get a concise, clear framework from one person. It will certainly save you a lot of time. I will be better structured. It will be more focused on learning you key aspects to get you to a place where you can take action and do the things you want to do.

Information is great, but only when it leads you somewhere you want to go.

Final Thoughts

Look: I just want resin 3D printing to be fun. I almost quit printing but now it is all I want to do. Finding the right method that works for you from the start is such a gamechanger. I believe printing minis is a great thing for boardgames, DnD and wargames.

It gives is more creators. It gives us more flexibility. It gives us more stuff! I want to help people get into this. Are you onboard?

FAQs

  • There are no two ways about it: resin printing is toxic. If you live in an apartment with few rooms, you have to do a lot of work to make resin printing work. In that case I would not recommend it.

But maybe you can find a solution with an enclosure outside? Feel free to contact to discuss your specific case.

  • It is pretty messy. But if you are neat and careful, it does not need to spill nasty stuff all over the place. But resin printing works best if you have an area you can dedicate to it and say “this space is only for printing”.

  • Resin printing has an internal conflict: it wants stable high temperatures and it wants good airflow. If you have a window in your printing space it can often be enough to vent the VOC’s out. But resin will smell and the VOC’s and smell will seep out. If that is an issue, ventilation is likely a good option for you.

  • Resin printing is pretty use to make “work”. You put in the resin, slice a file and hit print. When it works it works great.

The problem is more when it does not work and you did not make your homework before you started. Because then you have no idea why anything failed.

It really helps to master the fundementals.

  • Most water-washable is actually hard to wash with water and is extremely brittle.

But there are some water-washable reins that are not that brittle and are actually easy to wash with water. If you use those resins it is in many ways a much better cleaning process.

  • Nothing really. In the course I will guide you on what printer would be a good idea to get, what resin and supplies would be for you.

But there is no reason to buy it before you start the course. And you can follow the course without any printer and stuff, if you just want to learn.

  • The video lessons are not highly edited YouTube videos. It is mainly talking head style video. What is important is the information in the video.
