Editorial Policy

Review Copy Policy

Micron Monster occasionally receives products from manufacturers and distributors for review and testing purposes. This page explains exactly how those situations are handled and what it means for the content you read here.

What receiving a review copy means

When a manufacturer sends a product for free, it does not buy a positive review. A review copy covers the cost of the product only. It does not change what is written about it, what score it receives, or whether it is recommended to readers. If a product is poor, the review will say so.

Disclosure

Any article or page covering a product received free of charge will say so clearly at the top of the content. The disclosure will name the manufacturer and state that the product was provided for review. You will always know before reading a review whether the product was purchased independently or supplied by the company.

Editorial independence

Companies that send review copies do not receive editorial approval, the ability to influence conclusions, or advance sight of finished content before publication. Feedback on factual errors is welcome, but the final text remains under full editorial control of Micron Monster.

Return of products

Review samples are generally retained after testing to allow for ongoing reference and updated commentary as firmware or software changes. Where a manufacturer requests return of a product, that will be honoured within a reasonable timeframe.

For manufacturers and PR contacts

If you represent a company and would like to send a product for review, please read the above carefully before reaching out. Micron Monster covers resin 3D printers, resins, and accessories relevant to miniature hobbyists. Products outside that scope are unlikely to be covered. To get in touch, use the contact page.

Purchased products

The majority of products covered on this site have been purchased independently. Where that is the case, no disclosure is made because no relationship with the manufacturer exists. Affiliate links may still be present on those pages — see the affiliate disclosure for how that works.
