Which resin printer should you buy?

Six short questions, scored against the full database of 30+ resin printers I have used, bench-tested, or have notes on. The top three matches at the end come with the reasons each one earned its score, plus a link to check the current price.

Question 1 of 6

How the scoring works

The picker scores every printer in the database that is in stock, has a confirmed price, and is at least Gen 4 generation (older machines are not the right recommendation in 2026 even at second-hand prices). Each answer adds or subtracts points based on how well a printer matches your situation.

  • Budget hard-filters anything above your cap. The closer a printer sits to the centre of your budget band, the better it scores.
  • Build size rewards printers whose build volume matches the kind of work you want to do. A small printer scoring well on a "large pieces" answer is unlikely.
  • Experience level rewards forgiving features (auto-level, screen protector) for first-time printers, and trims that bonus for power users who do not need them.
  • Frequency rewards faster printers (tilting VAT, modern lift architecture) for daily users and is neutral for occasional ones.
  • Speed priority directly rewards printers with the fastPrint flag.
  • Verdict is my own would-buy verdict on each machine, applied as a final tie-breaker. A "Yes" verdict adds, a "No" subtracts.

The top three are the ones that came out highest. If you want to see every printer I have notes on, the resin printer buying guide carries the full table.
