How the scoring works
The picker scores every resin in the database that is in stock and has a confirmed price. Each answer adds or subtracts points based on how well a resin matches your situation.
- What you are printing targets the resin type and mechanical character, and drives the biggest spread of differentiation. Display miniatures favour ABS-like and Standard resins; tabletop gaming pieces and terrain push toward Tough character; flexible parts require a Flexible type.
- Cleaning method is a hard filter. If you wash with IPA, any water-only resin is removed from the pool entirely. If you wash with water, only water-washable or dual-method resins survive. Mismatching your workflow ships you a bottle you cannot use.
- Budget per kg is also a hard filter. Nothing above your cap appears in the results. The closer a resin sits to the centre of your chosen band, the better it scores within the cap.
- Handling adds or subtracts points for mechanical character: Tough and Flexible resins benefit if you chose hard handling; Brittle resins lose points if the model will be played with.
- Brand affinity is the softest factor. Choosing a preferred brand adds a small boost to that brand's resins; choosing no preference has no penalty.
The top three are the ones that came out highest after all filters and scoring. If the results are tied, the picker sorts alphabetically by name. You can restart and change your answers at any point.
